Winter League 2026

Ann Arbor Ultimate is proud to present Winter League 2026. There is 1 division.

Wednesday Division (Mixed)

This division follows our 50:50 Mixed format. To encourage equitable gender ratios and true mixed play, there will be 24 MMP and 24 WMP spots available in the league. It is advisable to sign up as early as you can regardless of your gender matching preference. Registration is opening early this year for Wednesdays so the lottery can happen before registration for Friday league opens; and to give us a little more flexibility with the draft around the holidays.

This year, our Wednesday division will be using the following format:

• Registration lottery—Due to the high demand for this division, registrations made during the first 24 hours will be entered into a lottery. 24 woman-matching players and 24 man-matching players will be randomly selected from this pool. This allows those with less flexible schedules or slower electronic devices a chance to register for the division. If either matching group has less than 24 players at the conclusion of the 24 hours, remaining slots will be filled by the appropriate matching group first-come, first-serve based on registration timestamp. After the lottery draw has been made, players will be able to form 2 person groups with those drawn. Players not selected during the lottery will be placed on the waitlist.
• Teams formed via draft—Teams for this division will be drafted by our volunteer captain pairs (ideally 1 WMP + 1 MMP) in early January. If this sounds like fun to you, please indicate your interest during registration!
• Bracket play—Teams will play a double round-robin schedule for the first six seeks followed by a seeded final two games based on the record for each team.
